Students will select the course that they want to study (within their dashboard). If you wanted to study math, you would select the HESI math course form your dashboard. You would then be taken to an area of the HESI course that focuses on HESI math.
Within the course, you will find lessons and topics. An example of a lesson would be “Basic Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division.” Within that lesson, you would find some different topics that help breakdown the lesson even more.
We really like this system as it makes the course less overwhelming and easier to study. You will even find quizzes after certain topics to ensure that you are grasping the concepts that were just taught.
All of the learning materials within the course are detailed notes, study guides, figures, images, tables, and examples. The content is easy to digest and very helpful.
Full-Length Practice Exams
BoostPrep does a great job of simulating the actual HESI exam with their full-length practice exams. The exams are timed and have the same number of questions. The timed exams really help you nail down the timing aspect of taking the HESI exam.
BoostPrep uses a system that allows you to skip questions, mark questions for review, and go back. This system is a nice feature and helps you practice your timing. There is a timer at the top of the exam that is clearly visible at all times.
The Core Course includes 12 full-length exams while the Pro Course includes 24 full-length exams. It is recommended that you take 1 practice exam for each subject before beginning your studies – this allows you to get a baseline so you can see your improvement as you study.
